To many the word wallpaper can be a little frightening. I think we all have been damaged at some point in our lives by bad wallpaper, rather if it was that bad eighties floral print that comes to mind or the kitchen paper with the fruit. Either way- wallpaper has come a long way and can be a great addition to anyone’s home. It’s a nice way to add color, texture, pattern and well- just something fun on the walls! One of my favorite design “tricks” is to apply paper to one wall. This allows for the wallpaper to create an “accent wall” (…and we all love accent walls). Another wallpaper tick that I keep up my sleeve is putting paper in panels and adding trim around them- it creates such a beautiful setting. Wallpapering inside of panels can be a great backdrop for wall sconces too, it can be a nice way to break up a long corridor or to not feel so overpowered by the paper being on every wall.

Another tick…since is we are handing them out…wallpaper boards- add some trim and you are golden! It’s a piece of art in itself. You get a much less permanent application but still get the same great look. What more could one ask for? Well…..I am sure we could do a whole other blog post on that!
